What exactly is a Guardian Home?
A guardian home is a permanent home for a specially chosen breeding dog while they remain part of our program, and at no upfront cost to the family. The puppy will grow up and be trained, loved, socialized and cared for by their guardian family.

Once a puppy reaches an appropriate age and health testing has been completed, he or she will be required to return to the breeder as necessary to breed an then again for the whelping and care of any litters for 6-8 weeks (in the case of a female Guardian Dog).
After a limited breeding period, the parent dog will be retired from our program and ownership will be completely transferred to the guardian family where the dog will stay 100% of the time and will continue to live his/her best life!
Why are Guardian Homes Important?
Every dog deserves the proper attention and love, no matter if they are a pet or part of a breeding program. Here at Dynamic Doodles NL, we strive to provide only the best for the dogs involved in our program. Our dogs are first and foremost our family pets and while some breeders will re-home their breeding dogs upon retirement, we could never part with any of our dogs. Therefore, to ensure the continuity and longevity of our program as well as the well-being of our dogs, we will at times find ourselves looking to place a puppy in a Guardian Home.
What are the benefits to being a Guardian Home?

You will receive a "pick of the litter", top quality puppy, free of charge, that will be health tested at the breeder's expense.

You will receive a lifetime of breeder support while the parent dog is part of the breeding program as well as once the dog has been retired.
​FOR FEMALE GUARDIAN HOMES SPECIFICALLY:

You will have the opportunity to take advantage of free dog sitting for up to 8 weeks while mom is with us caring for her litter. Many families will avail of this time to take their holidays. Doggy daycare can add up quickly, especially for longer durations.

Once the puppies are of a certain age and thriving, you have a unique opportunity for your family to visit and be involved in the breeding process. It's incredibly rewarding and educational for children and in our homes, our whole family takes part.

You will receive a monetary gift (as a thank you) for your patience while your beloved pet is away. Therefore, not only will you be receiving a top quality dog, but you will also be compensated for your teamwork and involvement in our program.

We (the breeder) will pay to spay the dog once they are retired from the program.
​FOR MALE GUARDIAN HOMES SPECIFICALLY:

You will receive a small monetary gift (as a thank you) for the stud service required throughout the year.

Breeder will pay to neuter the dog once they are retired from the program.
